    Alumni, faculty, and friends are invited to send in their nominations for two MAA-sponsored awards. Applications are accepted through November 1 for awards presented the following spring.

    The Honor Award & Gold Key, established in 1948, is presented to a University of Maryland School of Medicine graduate for outstanding contributions to medicine and distinguished service to mankind. Factors considered in the selection process include impact of accomplishments; local, national, and international recognition; supporting letters and articles; and publications.
